Eulogy For The Soul
Rest in peace; dear soul
In your woes you drown
At the bottom of the seabed
is where death takes you,
How you cried and moaned,
and succor never came
My heart goes out to thee
Like an old propeller
on a steam ship moans
and gives up; so did you
Only I sympathized with you
I hear you calling me from below,
empty is my temple; flesh
waits patiently for love
Those whom said they loved,
never loved at all
And those whom never
spoke those words,
are they the ones
whom truly loved,
broken, shattered, I vow
to mend my deserted heart
Love was unrequited for thee
Your tombstone will be
Inscribed in words to read,
about the many ways
you loved and gave,
until you drowned in a
seabed of tears to selfish love
Now that your gone,
I am left soulless
