Guns R' US

You can get killed just for living in your American skin
    - Bruce Springsteen

A black man is shot down in Memphis for having a dream.
A musician is gunned down outside his home in New York City
for asking people to imagine and give peace a chance.
An immigrant dies in a hail of bullets, reaching for his wallet
while seeking his dream.

High school students in Colorado, college students in Virginia,
innocent elementary school children  in Connecticut,
slaughtered with no chance to fulfill their dreams.
Across the country, mall shoppers and movie goers become targets.

And the actor who once pointed his handgun cannon
at audiences and proclaimed: "Go ahead, make my day;"
now stands on stage and yells at an empty chair.
