Stuck in Puppy Love
I wrote verses
I composed songs
I drew mental art
of our love
The presence of you
took me to our childhood
where it all began
I believed we could finish
unfinished chapters
that never close a book
I told myself that it was destiny
I called it our fate
I was the believer
The flowers arrived
and began to die
I should have known
it was a sign
and I kept on watering
and watering
until the very end
I should have known
you could never change
that you were still playing
the same childhood game
