Se é loucura... se é verdade
Tanto horror perante os céus?!
Ó mar, por que não apagas
Co'a esponja de tuas vagas
De teu manto este borrão?...
Astros! noites! tempestades!
Rolai das imensidades!
Varrei os mares, tufão!
