O Amor do Soldado (Pablo Neruda)

Em plena guerra levo-te a vida
a ser o amor do soldado.

Com teu pobre vestido de seda,
tuas unhas de pedra falsa
te toco caminhar pelo fogo

Vem aqui, vagabunda,
vem beber sobre meu peito
rubro sereno.

Não querias saber onde andavas,
eras a companheira do baile
não tinhas partido nem pátria.

E agora a meu lado caminhando
vês que comigo vai a vida
e que detrás está a morte.

Já não podes voltar a dançar
com teu traje de seda na sala.

Te vais a rasgar os sapatos,
mas vais crescer na marcha.

Tens que andar sobre as espinhas
deixando gotinhas de sangue.

Beija-me de novo, querida
Limpa o fuzil, camarada.
