The Last Words

There is an undertow.
Do not go beyond this point!
Beware,
there are gnomes in my head
and I am on the outside looking in,
thinking about the poem I haven’t written, yet.

I become the square root of negative one
as words form images and actions.

So focus, it’s time to face reality.
Nothing is ever just Black & White.
Reality is only the consensus of similar perceptions.
Truth found somewhere between stardust & dreams,
held down only by the pull of gravity,
always overshadowed by the living color of reality,
and eclipsed by the starlight forever out of reach.

Rainbows appear whenever gas and oil
mixes with water.

But whiteness wastes away
as we drink low end olive oil
a spot of tea and manta ray ale.
We do a dance, seeing just how low
we can go,

Lost in limbo,
I let the experience end.
