PESO DA IDADE
Sentindo o peso da minha idade agora,
eu não choro os deslizes da mocidade.
Percebo o que passou, que foi embora,
porque me faltava a responsabilidade.
Porém, eu me aplaudo pela maravilha
de ter nascido em uma família pobre.
Pois era uma linda e sagrada família,
que me criou sem brasão, mas nobre.
No aconchego desta casa, do meu lar,
eu aprendi o respeito e a honestidade.
Eu aprendi como educar e como amar
e ter orgulho, cultivando a humildade.
