Para curar febres pôdres
Um doctor se foi chamar,
Que, feitas as ceremonias,
Começou a receitar.

A cada pennada sua
O enfermo arrancava um ai.
«Não se assuste (diz Galeno)
Que inda d'esta se não vai.»

«Ah senhor ! (torna o coitado,
Como quem seu fado espreita)
Da molestia não me assusto,
Assusto-me da receita.»
