The Anglican nuns sell lavender sachets
blessed for sweet dreams.
On a pilgrimage to mend a broken heart,
cell phones infect this holy place.
You report a field of lavender silenced by a sudden heat wave
napping in the sun,
I direct you to secret a sprig for me
to put it under your hotel pillow like a fallen tooth.
I swoon at the idea of your smell mixed with lavender
knowing you will save me.
