SONETO AL PERDÓN DIVINO
Señor, desde hace ya tiempos eternos
mi alma siente dolor porque ha caído,
sin poder sostenerme me consterno
porque a pesar de amarte yo he cedido.
Y no sólo es temor al negro averno
o al Dios que yo pudiere haber perdido
si no haberle fallado a Tu amor tierno
lo que me tiene de dolor transido.
Tierno y sufriente amor en sangre dado
que del olvido eterno ha rescatado
mi ser contrito que llegar quisiera
a estar Contigo el día en que me muera,
pues sabiendo no haberte bien amado
espero en Tú perdón que me sonrieras.
