EL DESEO DE MAÑANAS
Si el deseo fuese inerte
y no pudiese verse
en cada trance de la vida,
la muerte sería inevitable
como dulce amparo
o evasivo sueño.
Quedarías tan desamparado
sin deseos esenciales
que inspiraran tu sangre,
que estaría ya vencido
el instinto primitivo de vivir
buscando mañanas.
