Começa o pranto
da guitarra.
Quebram-se os copos
da madrugada.
Começa o pranto
da guitarra.
É inútil calá-la,
É impossível
calá-la.
Chora monótona
como chora a água
como chora o vento
sobre a nevada.
É impossível
calá-la.
Chora por coisas
distantes.
Areia do sul quente
que pede camélias brancas,
Chora flecha sem alvo,
a tarde sem manhã,
e o primeiro pássaro morto
sobre o ramo.
Oh! Guitarra!
Coração malferido
por cinco espadas.
