O OLHAR QUE NUNCA ME DESTE

Um sorriso nos meus lábios fanou,
Calando a dor da despedida!
Dos olhos, uma lágrima seca rolou,
E caiu no chão, adormecida...

Meus olhos não brilham mais como antes,
Não!...Quando meus olhos discretos
Miravam os teus, provocantes,
Fremiam em desejos secretos!

Meu olhar, teus olhos muito seguia!
Que morresse em outros braços,
Depois!...Era tudo o que eu pedia!

Mas, negou-me a vida, tão piedoso favor!
E eu, perdido nos teus passos,
Vou definhando aos pouco, nesse amor...
