Pai,
qualquer
declaração de amor
está num gesto de carinho sem pretexto.

E é com todos
os pretextos de filho
que partilho estas palavras que nunca ouviste.

Mas sei
que estejas
aonde estiveres,
as podes ler nas minhas lágrimas.

Ainda
não sei o que é ser pai,
mas desde que sou filho
ensinaste-me a ser pai.

Recordo-te célebre,
és um mito no meu tempo.

Hoje
não te queria homenagear,
queria contigo estar para te falar
“o amo-te muito” que na distância
entre a vida e a morte ficou por dizer.

Não deixem de dizer aos vossos pais o quanto os amam, pode não haver tempo de o dizer.
