Olhos teus, mui grandes tamanhos ...
Para quem de nós, tem olhos para ver!
São bem redondos... de cor castanhos,
E cor de esmeraldas, antes de amanhecer.
Olhos teus, muito grandes, saudosos ...
São tão grandes que a mim me espanta
E são ainda amor, mui maravilhosos,
Os olhares deles, o que a mim me encanta!
São hortências do jardim, os olhos teus!
São avelãs, são botões de rosa,
São jasmins, de cor maravilhosa ...
São tão redondos! E tão mui brilhantes,
Que só, amor, o brilho dos olhos teus,
Ilumina a minha rua e o largo de mil fontes.
