A FOME E A FARTURA
A Fome diz à Fartura:
- Quem foi que te pôs ao mundo?
respondeu, toda ternura,
- Foi um ser muito fecundo.
- Gostava de ser teu filho…
- comentou quem perguntou.
Estou metida num sarilho,
o meu dinheiro findou.
Perdi tudo... tenho fome,
não sei mais o que fazer.
Meu nada ter me consome,
sou rica de mal viver.
A fartura, muito cheia,
retorquiu-lhe com afecto:
- Se não tens um “pé de meia”,
tornas-te um ser abjecto.
Pede emprego no governo.
Ali… tens o que convém.
Deixas de estar nesse inferno,
vais viver para Belém!
Estarás à grande, à francesa,
numa casa apalaçada.
Terás sempre cheia a mesa,
bom carro... e a roupa lavada!
