Fujo de mim!...Procuro esquecer o que fomos!
O que vivemos!...O que na alma se esvai!
Olhares perdidos!...Sorrisos tristonhos...
Um sonho que em lágrimas se desfaz!

Os fantasmas perseguem de mim, a razão,
E na noite gritam o seu nome!
Mas quem ouve seus gritos?!... A solidão?!
Essa dor que deveras me consome?!

Do que fomos, quase nada restou!
Só as mágoas de um riso angustiado,
Nas lembranças o tempo deixou!

Ainda vejo a imagem sombria do seu rosto!
Tão nítida!...Ela me tem assombrado!
Como a tênue linha de um esboço...
