*A Flor  

À tarde suave e calma se enfeitava
Com flores em colorido vibrante,
O meu olhar fixou beleza aviltante,
Senti o passado que murmurava:

Bela flor nascida em força e vigor,
Até que a noite arraste seu encanto,
Tão rápida a linha do desencanto,
Ao murchar as pétalas seu pavor.

Ó noite fria que representa a vida,
Deita lenta na escuridão dormida
Dá-me de volta meu viço e beleza.

A noite padecida riu de mim,
Soprou a flor murcha do seu jardim,
Viva e colorida em traje e nobreza.
