Livre vai-se a noite
E, ao romper da aurora,
O cheiro da manhã
A eclodir-se no ar.
O horizonte a se abrir,
Estrelas, em bando, a fugir
E eu a te procurar.
Em canto, eu busco, eu te grito,
mas, o canto da manhã
Esconde o meu canto
E me faz despertar
Perdi-te nos sonhos,
Romperam-se os abraços
E não pude te encontrar.
