Anno Domini
Os soldados romanos estão calmos,
Seus cavalos descansam nas cocheiras,
Os rabinos no templo cantam salmos!
Já é noite descansa a vila inteira!
De repente pastores que apascentam
Observam no céu, uma estrela!
Entre eles tal fato lá comentam,
Maravilhados pelo fato de vê-la!
Já estava previsto em Miquéias,
Que um fato milagroso na judéia!
No tempo próprio aconteceria!
A velha Palestina, a estrela, doura,
Enquanto em uma simples mangedoura,
Está nascendo o filho de MARIA!…
