The Grass
Plastic under numerous feet
Rises up immediately
Hearty and healthy
Ever happy ever fit
Silvery or rufous, mostly green
Under all weather young and serene
Hardy and tenacious
Born to help others
Without a fuss
The tall and humble grass.
It is time for the ego to go
To bloom silently and flow.
