Riverine Character

 

Out of the melting ice, snow and the raindrop
Falling from the mountain top
Moves pushing and digging as it feels;
Vast like a Brahmaputra
Sunk like a Saraswati
Dazzling like a dagger in the hills;
Flowing like a floosie
Flooding like a devastator
Caring like a mother in the vills;
Plump and muddy towards the end
Carrying the dirt in its heart
Plunges at last with dignity
Hewing its path, growing and flowing
Dancing towards the sea
It is her everlasting felicity.
