Too cold

I've asked until now
if it had to be too cold,
if it had to finish so sadly.

we hadn't perceived
what was happening to us,
provoking all the coldness
that was killing everything.

Why did we forget one another
and allowed the distance
to take over our days,
becoming everything too cold?

We also became too cold,
selfish, blind and deaf
to hear what any of us could say.

But now everything is over.
The end was too cold,
because there was nothing left to save.
