O sonho-mar de Raimundo
O pai saltava
do pequeno rochedo
onde estava
o pequeno Raimundo
O menino esbanjava
alegria e medo,
vendo o pai a nado,
na onda que arremetia.
Os pescadores
observavam as peripécias
de Antônio das Dores
que nunca vira antes
O mar, o forte
a praia, as dunas
Ele só nadara em açude
e lá no sertão não havia ondas
Finalmente,
após forte emoção
- e preocupação -
com o redemoinho
Antônio se agarra
às pedras da costa,
se corta,
mas retorna,
De sua breve aventura
afinal desafiara a força
das ondas no penhasco
como se o mar fora a caatinga.
