Nossas melhores flores,
podem ser ervas daninhas,
e em tempo de horrores
nos servem vinagre das vinhas.

Então, cegos e embriagados,
vamos seguindo em frente,
escondendo o passado
na caixinha do presente.
Mas, esta caixinha do tempo
tem um furo bem no fundo,
e por este furo, saliento,
entra a sorte e o azar do mundo.
E tudo que pode entrar
por esta caixinha com fresta,
também pode escapar
até o tempo que nos resta.
