And hunger dances
And hunger dances
The sick heart of humanity and
the uncontrolled men's mind
whirling indifferent
to the crying of the hungry Africans.
The ears of the powerful are deaf
to the suffering of the children of anyone.
The sun rises, but the food does not arrive
among the dunes of the desert.
And hunger dances.
While their souls
fluctuate between the
arms of the angels of death,
we sail
in the sea of indifference.
And hunger dances.
The eyes of the powerful
do not want to see the
hunger dancing in children’s empty bellies
undernourished.
The sun rises, but the food does not arrive
among the dunes of the desert.
And hunger dances.
Our tables are filled with abundance while
Africans are dying
in silence because of human’s 'insensibility
watered of selfishness.
And hunger dances.
