Time for Change

The feathers of winter snow,
billow across pale sky.
While the creeks marble waters sleep.
Resting currents that only yesterday,
raced beside the freight train gaurding
its turf against modern invention.
Species of creatures once dwelling harmoniously
as neighbors,
forgotten and given up as foreigners.
Foolishness of mans greed when centuries
ago arks full of cargo dodged surges of
tides to satisfy mans appetite.
Ideas have become a principle of survival.
Mankind has broken its pact with nature,
no more shall man and beast walk together
equally as blood brothers of Broken Arrow.

The phantom snow has mixed into frigid rain.
Song sparrows land on my windowpane,
waving their wings in congratulation to the
Romans applause of victory at the arena.
Nature wars its cries upon the earth.
Humans poison the planet with flying machines,
disrupting the balance of the environment.
Landing in heavenly places, seeking life.
What will this bring?

The frigid rain magically turns into hail,
meteriods of bullets containing compounds
of mankinds lust to power and reign.

The banner of dusk blankets in between
heaven and earth.
Zero degree temperatures cast a spell,
mummyfying all things above and below.
Those who lay to sleep, wonder about a
new change.
