I Don't Sleep I Dream

but I’m stuck in Houston
a half a world away
sitting on a park bench
watching
seven Chinese brothers
garden at night
in the South Central rain
while she is hitch-hiking
all the way to Reno
listening to the voices of leading men
telling her lust is only a catapult to hope
and without a love song
everyone who casts a shadow
while kissing the wall
finds touch turns
to entropy
