Query

Poets are artists painting
         pictures, creating
         images, with
                         words.
Their language draws
          the reader into
          a vision,
          a perception
          of reality.
Sometimes impressionistic
          and outright
          abstract,
not a clean-cut clear
          snapshot,

a cacophony
          of sound
          and
          nonsense.
Meaning buried beneath
          the words
          begging
                      the question:

          Can you dig it?
