A rosa e o colibri
Uns me chamam beija-flor
Outros me chamam colibri
Vivo de beijar as rosas
De suas pétalas esculpir
Sou colibri ou beija-flor
Sou beija-flor ou colibri
Sou o néctar da flor
Sou o primo de bem-te-vi
Uns me usam em poesias
Outros nas artes plásticas
Sou os sonhos dos artistas
Sou o poema das amadas
Tenho belas penas de seda
Cintilantes tal luz do sol
Sou o pássaro mais brilhante
Sou a lua, os raios do paiol
Sou como a fruta acariciada
Pelas mãos dos agricultores
Sou o melão da terra arada
Sou da terra, sou do amor
Junte-me beleza da rosa
Coloque-nos em seu poema
Projete-nos em aquarelas
Em sulfite, grafite ou renda
