Summer Writing

Whiling away
the lazy days,
waxing the surfboard
of my mind,
ready to ride
the waves
of consciousness
and cut the curl
of fantasy.

I sit on the beach
of creative thought,
basking
in the light of ideas
and caught in the act
of idle ogling
the sculptured bodies
of words jogging
on the sands
of description.
