as touch turns to entropy (read vertically & horizontally)

as touch turns to entropy

They say there is beauty in darkness                       The fires are stoked by devils who profit
and you can touch the edge of infinity                      from gas, oil and coal, it’s just sleight of hand
but I saw the wall as an ornamental façade.            so ignore the man behind the curtain.
The border in the blind alley                                     We build new pyramids for the new pharaohs,
a bulwark of the American Dream                            measured by caliber and millimeter,
the Eye of God located in the crotch of a woman.    waiting just outside our stomping ground.
Liberty Park no longer occupied by the people         A well regulated militia and balanced
streets of commerce walled off, blocked                   economy ignored and abolished
by a barricade of politicians and police.                    by five black robes of the court.
Social distortion, a cacophony of sound                    Because all the stars are in Hollywood
like the lost signal of a radio station                          suffering from the unbearable heat of being cool
permeates the air waves.                                          they pass and savor the power.
Truth twisted and warped by mass media,               Their heads planted firmly in the clouds
but at least the lies are all fair and balanced             they are the wild flowers that fill empty spaces.
they change the conversation.                                  an easy rider existence, shackled to a lifestyle.
Think Tanks spawned by corporate entities              Shades of color, pigments of skin tone,
in business for business to create law and order,      hoods of sports ware and hoods on white robes,
a scheme to achieve power and control.                   arsonists are on the loose igniting the flames.
Doubts and suspicions fueled by                               Racial conflict versus class warfare.
the nightmare of terror, they know                             Stand your ground against stand and deliver.
the fears that bind us can also divide us.                  A sideshow to draw attention away . . .
They wage a culture war as religion                         Trayvon Martin is not the only casualty,
is relegated to an economic commodity,                   in the comfort of the Wall Street American Dream,
All hail the power of thirty pieces of silver.                we all look like ants.
And those that preach freedom of religion                Static energy is released, when there is friction
hold God hostage, a prisoner shackled                     between reality and fiction.
in-between the pages of an ancient book.                             So why are you shocked?

No one remembers the beginning of this poem.
