É inverno nas montanhas de Minas
Lá bem distante a ventania chora
Perfuma o ar as flores das campinas
Harmoniza o dia a languidez sonora

É lindo o cortinado de neblina
No fim da noite disfarçando a aurora
Num espetáculo de luz e disciplina
Vai nevoando a minha serra afora

Chora quem de saudade não mais canta
Longe das montanhas orando leva a vida
Tristeza no olhar e nó na garganta

Mas sou mineiro e minha fé é tanta
Que não demora e estarei de partida
Para Minas. A minha terra é santa
