Digo nos meus versos a imensidade
O amor que sinto na rima perfeita
Digo a todos como é linda a minha eleita
Diva do meu canto e da saudade

Digo assim tanto e nada se aproveita
Sequer consigo um gesto de piedade
Jamais vivi com tanta má vontade
Doe-me na alma toda esta desfeita

Viver assim de nada me adianta
Sendo poeta nesta circunstância
Só tenho amor, mas nada me dá cobre

Preciso de uma atividade nobre
Deixar esta vida de ser pobre
Vender o almoço pra comprar a janta
