CASTRO ALVES e eu

(Me chamaram de poeta e eu
resolvi acreditar. Daí, tomei
a liberdade de fazer esta
poesia junto com Castro Alves)
...

Gente, eu preciso vender  livros
e fazer meu pé de meia,
e poder me sustentar.

Bendito quem semeia
livros à mão cheia
e manda o povo pensar.

Leitura traz muita calma;
é o universo na palma
da mão de quem quer sonhar.

E o livro caindo n’alma
é germe que faz a palma,
é chuva que faz o mar.

Eu não tenho asas para voar tão alto como ele.

Albatroz! Albatroz! águia do oceano,
Tu que dormes das nuvens entre as gazas,
Sacode as penas, Leviathan do espaço,
Albatroz! Albatroz! dá-me estas asas.
