O ÉBRIO ASSASSINO!
Eu sou um assasino!matei por amor!
Mas eu tive de matar,perdoa-me SENHOR!
Tem pena SENHOR!deste ébrio assassino;
Eu não queria matar,acho que foi o destino.
Eu pequei SENHOR!pequei contra sua santa lei.
Foi alí,n' aquela rua que alguém matei;
Ali,ó n'aquela rua escura,
Onde eu cavei a sepultura...
E depois,com muita frieza e calma
Assassinei e enterrei minha alma,
Por causa de uma mulher que eu amei!
O nome dela agora eu já nem sei!
Minh'alma ficou só e abandonada;
Oh!maldita vida,oh!vida desgraçada...
Eu estou muito embriagado,minh´alma está cansada...
Perdão SENHOR!vou dormir aqui mesmo na calçada!
