O vinte e cinco de Abril
O sol ledo e cego nascia,
Quando o movimento popular
Às ruas descia,
Com firmeza na vitória.
A firmeza era tal
Que ninguém os conseguia parar,
Tinham de dar final
A uma guerra custosa de acabar.
Tinham de pôr fim
A um regime que desonrou a Pátria,
Tinham que dizer sim
À restauração da democracia.
