Deitei o braço
calmo e esperançoso
sobre o futuro de um amor.

Deitei os sustos
e revi calmo e sinceramente
os bilhetes poéticos deste amor.

Deitei os sonhos
num travesseiro de pedra
e continuei a bem querer este amor.

Não foi de um repente
que me senti trancafiado em calor
nos braços ardidos deste novo amor.

Nada tenho a esclarecer
sobre esta minha nova maneira
de amar sobre um colchão-rochedo
e sair leve, com o corpo recheado de algodão.

"... de amar sobre um colchão-rochedo, e sair leve, com o corpo recheado de algodão".

O poeta faz da metáfora a ponte para este poema ao mesmo tempo, surreal e romântico.
