Duas funções

Agora a cidade está cheia de pequenos ônibus, nos quais o motorista exerce a função de cobrador de tarifas, além de conduzir o coletivo.
O ônibus fica parado por muito mais tempo, por conta do trabalho do motorista referente à cobrança de passagens, e isto atrapalha o trânsito.
Às vezes tal cobrança é feita ao mesmo tempo em que o ônibus é posto em movimento. Vale dizer: o motorista dirige e ao mesmo tempo cobra a tarifa do passageiro.
O método antigo é mais prudente e racional, pois motorista e cobrador exerciam cada um a sua verdadeira função.
