Hoje é dia de feira
No pátio da padroeira
Lá tem tudo que se queira
Louça, alumínio e madeira...
Pra moça casamenteira
Tem vestido floreado
E tem adorno afetado
Pra mulher namoradeira...
Tem perfume de jasmim
Pra ele me notar e correr
E todo assanhado, dizer
Falando pra eu assim...
Parece boneca-menina,
Fala com eu, minha flor,
Pra eu não morrer de amor!
Eta! Formosura linda!
E eu fico de bobeira
Dou outra volta na feira...
Mas, se de repente lhe beira
Uma jovem sorrateira
Corro pra ele, na poeira,
E não espero o fim da feira...
Caio em seus braços inteira
Numa laçada derradeira ...
