Água de tamarindo
Ingredientes
4 a 6 unidades.
água
8 a 10 vagens de tamarindo
± 60 g de açúcar amarelo
gelo picado
Preparação
Leve ao lume cerca de 2,5 dl de água. Entretanto, descasque as vagens de tamarindo. Junte-as à água quando estiver a ferver e adicione o açúcar amarelo.
Mexa até dissolver o açúcar e deixe ferver cerca de 2 minutos.
Retire do lume e deixe em infusão cerca de 3 horas. Coe o líquido através de um passador de rede fina, pressionando os frutos com as costas de uma colher de pau de modo a espremer a maior parte da polpa. Adicione ao suco mais cerca de 5 dl de água e, se achar necessário, junte mais um pouco de açúcar.
Deite gelo picado em copos altos e estreitos até metade da altura e encha com o sumo de tamarindo.
