Hunger For Thoughts
I hunger to write
with the hunger
of a lovers want
for passion,
I look to the
looking glass window
for my mecca,
The mirror that grooms,
refines, portrays my
every thought,
Ardent for words
I tour to find
images, holding
on to them before
they evanesce and
dim as the day
grows somnolent
and blows out
its lantern,
My heart is sworn
to clandestine,
the open mirror
of this world,
I share what the
deck has shuffled,
even my mind awakens
to the rains' peck
on my window, not
to lullabye my ears,
but to awaken my
thoughts to write
with the hunger of a
lovers want for passion,
Yet, I am not full
I ask myself,
"Am I a glutton,
why is my belly
still growling"
I feed it the food
of thoughts and I
nourish the appetite
of others.
