I laugh and I cry because I'm confused.
I stand here listening to the words you speak,
With my ears, not with my eyes.
I'm afraid to look at you because it hurts too much inside.

Not because it's you, but because I can hear what you're saying.
You think you're cool, leading me on...
I'm pretending nothing's wrong, because I don't want to argue with you.
You keep looking at me...
But I'm not paying attention.
So, just keep your distance and stay away,
