Villain Lady-mini series
Villain lady has returned
Slipped a note under the door
Scribbled with red India ink
"Meet me at the tavern noon tomorrow"
That must be where we first met
While drinking with my partner
I reckon that the lady
Has something up her sleeve
Next day I sit and wait
At the local corner tavern
Eating salted nuts, sipping a martini
Walking with a drink in one hand
On my right a lit import cigar
I bump into a pretty lady
The drink spills on her melon bust
I excuse myself and flatter her
With sweet nothings about her stunning hat
Handing her a hankie with my initials red
Politely she says "Thank You" blushing she
says "I love the color red"
Over at the jukebox someone drops a dime
Catch me if you can begins to play
I turn to look; no one stands nearby
I find that rather strange
So many things are happening around me
The lady with no name is here at last
I feel it in my detective smarts
Which one is she dare I ask
Tapping on my shoulder
Its only my agent friend and partner
An hour has gone by; no signs of the villain lady
I still sense that she is close
"Might she be Agent Vani Rose
She is an undercover cop
Agent Vani Rose is wearing a perfume
It smells like roses; a perfume I once knew
She said her brother Richard from Georgia
Sent it for a birthday gift
Received it in the mail today;
And sprayed it on her neck
To attract an available gentleman.
