Bem lá,

no fundo,

do poço

velha cacimba,

do quintal da Lavoura

da minha infância.

 

Bem lá,

profundo,

no poço

velha corda

puxa água saloba

pro latão da estância

 

Parece

que ficaram

por lá

além do poço

muitas coisas

do tempo de moço

 

Parece

que restaram

por cá

depois do poço

poucas coisas

e muito alvoroço
