SONHO A DOIS...

Teus encantos ficaram perdidos no tempo!
Nos sonhos!...Nas carícias que nunca senti!
São folhas despedaçadas ao vento!
Lágrimas de um finado porvir!

Dorme o fúnebre sono, o amor que nunca viu!
Descansa pálido sonho de desventura!
Junto com Francesca, no leito frio,
Possa descansar na sepultura!

Já as flores, murcham!...Sem vida!
E sobre teu jazigo, num melancólico gemido,
Bailam em monótona despedida!

De mim, levaste um sonho a dois!
O amor que poderia ter sido,
Mas que, no tempo!...Não o foi...
