Ver-te morto
como um trapo,
não diminui tua aura
de heróico guapo.

Feriram-te o atraso
e o pensar raso
de trevas seculares
e mentes tumulares.

Feriram-te covardes
em longe arrebalde;
e, no entanto, debalde,

Pois em ti
a Revolução vive,
a liberdade
de ser livre.
