UM CAVALO

 

Oiço o trotear dum cavalo

Olho para ele e não falo

O cavalo nem sabe quem sou

Nem tão pouco quem o amansou

 

 

Conheci o cavalo quando era bravo

Dava coices com os dois cravos

Ele queria ser livre e selvagem

Não o deixaram e manso o fazem

 

 

Agora leva no dorso o amansador

Nem que tenha a maior dor

Ele quando vê o chicote no ar

Depressa passa a trotear

 

 

Pela lei do medo o cavalo tudo faz

Nem que deite ao chão o dono tem paz

Mas quando se solta ele corre

Se não correr mata ou morre

 

 

Ver num prado um cavalo a correr

Ele tem a liberdade sem saber

Mas se alguém lhe joga a mão

O cavalo corre em prisão
