Toda a mãe é uma santa
Pois com anjos se parece
Ao ver o filho se encanta
Balbuciando uma prece

Deus quando as mães criou
Deu-lhes dom de adivinhar
E a minha sabe como estou
Sem precisar me perguntar

Minha mãe já está no céu
Mas vive ainda a meu lado
Protege-me como um véu
Em seu carinho iluminado
