FAVELA

Tábuas sobre tábuas se misturam
Pobres mulheres lavando roupas pobres
Crianças nuas brincam e murmuram
A felicidade aparente dos nobres

E por trás desta condição subumana
Os seus olhos parecem tão triste
Gente humilde serenidade emana
Porque no peito um coração existe

Atentai para o pobre que precisa
Um dia Jesus disse assim
Se a ele deres a sua camisa
Estarás vestindo a mim

Certamente que no nosso meio
O pobre sempre existirá
Mas amai um ao outro sem receio
Que a recompensa do céu nos virá
